Washed and Picked Merino Fleece (NY)

The Volpe family farm is one of only a few farms in Western NY that produces 100% Merino wool fiber.  Award winning fleeces make up this beautiful roving and combed top. Merino wool is unrivaled in its fineness, making garments made from its fiber soft and comfortably worn next to the skin. It is naturally warm and breathable, and has a great warmth-to-weight ratio. 

Established in 2013, Fox and Hound Merino evolved from a starter flock of exceptionally fine fiber animals.  The flock continues to grow on their 127 acre western NY farm, one hour south of Buffalo, nestled in Amish country.  They practice sustainable farming, meeting electrical needs with solar panels.  Animals get individual attention and health care.  Each one has a name and a unique personality.
